Vaccine Man is a formidable monster born from humanity’s pollution, embodying the planet’s wrath against environmental destruction.
With two antennas and a deep-seated rage, he views himself as the Earth’s “vaccine,” sent to eradicate the human “virus” infecting the planet.
Just as vaccines eliminate harmful germs, he sees it as his duty to cleanse the world of toxic polluters.
Vaccine Man appeared 20 kilometers northwest from the hero’s HQ.
He easily overwhelms lower-class heroes who dare to challenge him, showcasing his immense power and ruthless nature.
He even attempts to kill a crying school child, emphasizing his merciless intent until Saitama intervenes.
As the first major antagonist in One Punch Man, Vaccine Man sets the tone for the series, only to be effortlessly obliterated by Saitama’s signature one-punch.
Appearance:
- Initial Form: Vaccine Man initially appears as a humanoid creature having purple skin, sharp teeth, and thick antennas. At a glance, he quickly resembles Piccolo from Dragonball Z. He is bald with a muscular body and pointy ears and appears naked. Vaccine man has veins protruding on his head, chest, and arms.
- Transformed State: When enraged, he transforms into a larger, more monstrous form with exaggerated features. He grows ten times bigger, developing longer, sharper claws, huge tusks, and a thorny body.
Personality
- Hateful: Claiming to be Mother Earth’s apostle, he harbors deep hatred for all humans and seeks to eradicate them entirely.
- Ruthless: Vaccine Man’s hatred is so deep-seated that he even attempts to kill a young child crying amidst the destruction he has caused in the name of his own twisted sense of “justice.”
- Arrogant: He considers himself an agent of nature, vastly superior to humans. He speaks with grandiosity and looks down on those who oppose him.
- Fanatic: Vaccine Man views himself as nature’s apostle, devoted to the complete annihilation of humanity. Unlike some villains who seek power or personal gain, he acts out of an almost religious devotion to his cause, making him more of an ideological force than just a brute monster.
