The battle between Deep Sea King and the heroes, including two S-Class and seven others, is one of the most memorable confrontations in One Punch Man.
Despite their efforts, the heroes, including the powerful S-Class warriors, were effortlessly defeated by the monstrous Deep Sea King.
The situation grew even more dire with the arrival of Mumen Rider, a Class C Hero, whose determination only highlighted the overwhelming hopelessness of the fight.
That’s not surprising since they witnessed Deep Sea King utterly destroy the formidable Genos.
However, just when all seemed lost, Saitama arrived at the perfect moment.
I must say the writing in this sequence is exceptional, making for an unforgettable turning point in the story.

Fight Breakdown
The fight between two S-Class and seven other heroes is found in Volume 5 Chapters 25 to 28 of the manga.
Here are the breakdowns of their individual battles.
Stinger vs. Deep Sea King
Stinger, a Class A, Rank 11 hero, initially defeats multiple Seafolk monsters.
However, Deep Sea King quickly enters the battlefield by punching Stinger, demonstrating his superior strength.
The fight ends abruptly with Stinger’s defeat.
Lightning Max vs. Deep Sea King
Lightning Max, a Class A, Rank 20 hero, observes Deep Sea King from a distance but is caught off guard when the monster suddenly appears behind him.
He launches an explosive kick but it barely damages the monster. Realizing he can’t win, he attempts to escape but is struck by a powerful punch that sends him crashing through a building.
Lightning Max attempts another attack with his “Lightning Flying Backwards Roundhouse Kick,” but Deep Sea King counters and defeats him.
Puri-Puri Prisoner vs. Deep Sea King
Puri-Puri Prisoner, an S-Class hero, appears to save the injured Lightning Max.
He faces Deep Sea King, initially showing his immense strength by bulging his muscles and landing punches that deform the monster’s jaws.
Despite landing powerful blows that send Deep Sea King into the sky, Puri-Puri Prisoner’s attacks do minor damage.
He then transforms into his “Angel Style,” growing wings and attacking with a barrage of punches.
However, Deep Sea King blocks and counters, ultimately defeating Puri-Puri Prisoner.
Sonic vs. Deep Sea King
After defeating Puri-Puri Prisoner, Deep Sea King turns his attention to Sonic.
Known for his agility, Sonic effortlessly dodges the monster’s attacks and even lands a kick to the face.
Deep Sea King then reveals his retractable tongue, which Sonic barely avoids. Sonic then cuts off the monster’s tongue, but his hand attacks barely damage the monster.
Deep Sea King becomes more powerful as the rain starts, and manages to grab Sonic, squeezing him, but Sonic escapes naked.
Deep Sea King vs. Class A, B, and C Heroes
Allback-Man tries to surrender but Jet Niceguy, BunBun Man, and Biting Snake Fist Snek walk beside him.
Together, they plan on fighting Deep Sea King to protect the civilians.
Jet Niceguy attacks first but his cyborg body gets cut in half.
Despite the terrifying display, Snek and BunBun Man attempted to fight, trying to dodge Deep Sea King’s relentless attacks.
However, Snek was ultimately caught by a powerful punch.
Before they get decimated, Genos arrives and takes the fight.

Genos vs. Deep Sea King
S-Class Hero Genos, also known as Demon Cyborg, arrives at the evacuation center and immediately attacks Deep Sea King.
He punches him and sends him flying through multiple buildings.
Genos lowers his guard and Deep Sea King rips off his arm.
The two exchange blows but Deep Sea King then spits acid at a child where Genos shields the civilian, melting his body.
Deep Sea King then punches Genos through a wall, leaving him motionless, unable to continue the fight.
The monster also reveals that he has already healed from the damage he sustained from Genos.
Mumen Rider vs. Deep Sea King
Class C Hero Mumen Rider arrives on the scene, crashing his bicycle into Deep Sea King. He introduces himself as the “Bicyclist for Justice” and tries to attack.
Deep Sea King easily blocks Mumen Rider’s fist, grabs his arm, and smashes him repeatedly into the ground, breaking his arm in the process.
Despite knowing he has no chance of winning, Mumen Rider keeps getting back up to protect the people. The sea monster easily knocks him down again.
Saitama vs. Deep Sea King
Saitama appears after Mumen Rider’s defeat, catching the fallen hero. Seeing Genos’s poor state, Saitama gets serious and vows to defeat the monster.
Deep Sea King punches Saitama from behind, but it does not affect him. The rain pours harder making him more powerful as well.
After that, Deep Sea King prepares a powerful punch, but Saitama swiftly punches a hole through his body with a single punch, defeating him instantly.
