Chapter 25 – Deep Sea King 2

Puri-Puri Prisoner (S-Class Rank 17) engages Deep Sea King, a powerful Demon-level monster.

Using his Angel Style, Puri-Puri Prisoner powers up by ripping his clothes, but despite landing heavy blows, the Deep Sea King easily withstands the attacks.

With superior strength, Deep Sea King counters with devastating punches, leaving Puri-Puri Prisoner bloodied and defeated.

Sonic Versus Deep Sea King

Witnessing this, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic intervenes.

Using his extraordinary speed, Sonic dodges Deep Sea King’s attacks and counters with precise strikes.

However, as the rain strengthens, the Deep Sea King grows even more powerful.

Sonic narrowly avoids being caught by the monster’s retractable tongue but realizes he’s outmatched and escapes, leaving him completely naked after Deep Sea King rips his clothes.

Deep Sea King Versus Allback-Man, Snek, and Other B-Class Heroes

Meanwhile, Genos scans for the Deep Sea King and finds an evacuation shelter where citizens are hiding.

Sensing their presence, Deep Sea King heads there, breaks into the shelter, and terrifies the people.

A few heroes, including Allback-Man (C-Class), B-Class heroes, and A-Class hero Snek, arrive to defend the shelter despite knowing the monster’s immense strength.

As the heroes prepare to fight, Saitama wanders aimlessly in the city, unaware of the chaos unfolding, setting the stage for a climactic battle.

Chapter 26 – Unstable Hope

In the rain-soaked City J, chaos unfolds as the Deep Sea King terrorizes citizens and heroes alike.

Mumen Rider races towards an evacuation shelter, dropping his phone. Saitama picks it up and contacts the Hero Association, requesting the monster’s location.

They assign him to the scene, but the phone soon shuts off.

Inside the shelter, panic spreads as the Deep Sea King pierces one hero with its monstrous hand.

Snek, narrowly dodging a blow, gets punched hard by the beast.

Genos Versus Deep Sea King

At that moment, Genos (S-Class Rank 14) arrives, glowing and smoking from his “cybernetic enhancements”.

He lands dramatically, then strikes Deep Sea King with a powerful punch, sending the monster crashing into buildings.

The citizens cheer, but the victory is brief. Deep Sea King retaliates, severing Genos’s arm with a brutal punch.

As Genos urges the citizens to flee, the monster chases them, causing further destruction.

Inside the shelter, Genos fights fiercely, taking and landing heavy blows. When Deep Sea King attempts to spew acid at a young girl, Genos shields her, saving her life.

With the shelter in chaos and the battle raging on, hope for the city’s survival hangs by a thread, leaving the outcome uncertain.

Chapter 27 – Shining in Tatters

A harrowing battle unfolds as Genos sacrifices himself to protect a young girl from Deep Sea King’s corrosive acid.

The sea monster, displaying brutal strength, hurls Genos against the shelter wall and readies for a killing strike.

Deep Sea King Versus Mumen Rider

The tension breaks when Mumen Rider bursts onto the scene, ramming his bicycle into the towering monster.

Though his attacks prove futile against Deep Sea King’s overwhelming power, Mumen Rider’s spirit remains unbroken.

Despite being battered and drenched in blood and rain, he rises repeatedly, inspiring hope among the shelter’s evacuees who cheer for their determined hero.

Saitama Comes to the Rescue

Just as Deep Sea King prepares to finish off the defiant Mumen Rider, Saitama makes his entrance, catching his unconscious fellow hero.

While initially maintaining his characteristic casual demeanor, Saitama’s expression darkens upon seeing Genos’ melted form.

The atmosphere shifts dramatically as Deep Sea King, sensing an opening, launches a surprise punch at Saitama from behind.

The stage is set for an epic confrontation between the seemingly ordinary hero and the fearsome sea monster who has terrorized the city.

Chapter 28 – It’s Raining So…

Chapter 28 of One Punch Man Manga shows Saitama’s devastating power as he confronts the Deep Sea King, who has terrorized the city and defeated multiple heroes.

The crowd watches anxiously as their mysterious bald savior faces the fearsome monster.

Deep Sea King launches what he believes to be a decisive strike, only for Saitama to counter with a single, devastating punch that tears through the monster’s body.

The impact sends shockwaves through the city, leaving witnesses and Genos stunned by the sudden victory.

Mixed Reactions

Yet Saitama’s triumph sparks controversy among onlookers. While some cheer, others accuse him of stealing credit from the injured heroes.

When one citizen mocks the defeated heroes as wastes of funding, Saitama deflects praise by claiming he merely finished off an already weakened opponent, directing attention instead to the wounded heroes who fought bravely before him.

As the rain clears, Sonic arrives, seeking combat, only to find his intended opponent already deceased.

Meanwhile, in City G, the story takes an ominous turn as the Great Seer Shibabawa delivers a chilling prophecy of Earth’s impending peril.

Chapter 29 – Class B

Chapter 29 shifts to a lighter tone following the Deep Sea King battle, focusing on the aftermath of Saitama’s victory.

The chapter opens with an unusual sight: a parachute-deployed package drifting down from a jet fighter, containing letters for both Saitama and Genos.

As they sift through the mail, Saitama faces a mix of harsh criticism and a single heartfelt note of gratitude.

Promotion to Class C Rank 1

Among these arrives his promotion certificate to Class C Rank 1, prompting a visit to the Hero Association Headquarters in City Z.

The executives, while congratulating Saitama, propose advancing him to Class B.

However, skepticism emerges during his psychological evaluation as some question the authenticity of his entrance exam scores.

Promotion to Class B Rank 101

The situation resolves when Amai Mask, a key figure in the Association, unexpectedly approves the promotion, elevating Saitama to Class B Rank 101.

The chapter concludes with a touching scene at a ramen shop, where Saitama encounters the bandaged Mumen Rider.

The humble hero reveals himself as the author of the morning’s thank-you letter, bringing the story full circle with a moment of genuine connection.

Chapter 29.5 – Things One Cannot Buy

This chapter offers a glimpse into Saitama’s mundane struggles, opening with our hero discovering just 20 yen in his bank account.

At a vending machine, coins in hand, he casually passes a monster he’s defeated, showing how ordinary such feats have become for him.

“C-Class heroes” Funeral Suspenders and D-Pad arrive to secure the monster’s body, basking in misplaced praise from children who assume they defeated it.

Bank Robbery

Their moment of glory is short-lived when they confront “Class A” Criminal Bull Bull and his gang, Cow’s Stomach, during a bank robbery.

Despite executing their signature move, “Suspender Storm,” the heroes fall to Bull Bull’s superior strength.

As the criminals flee with a hostage boy, planning to abandon him in the mountains, Saitama intervenes, literally carrying their getaway car.

After defeating the criminals, the grateful boy offers Saitama money, which he declines, earning himself the endearing title of “uncle.”

Later, sharing the day’s events with Genos, Saitama receives an unpalatable juice, which he thoughtfully passes to a thirsty Mumen Rider patrolling on his bicycle- a small act of kindness from our unpretentious hero.
